Rhythm and Blues

Rhythm and Blues also known as R&B, R'n'B or RnB it is a style of music developed by African Americans that combines blues and jazz, characterized by strong backbeat and repeated variations on syncopated instrumental phrases. The term replaced ‘race music’ and was supplanted by ‘soul’. Rhythm-and-blues grew out of the blues and related styles but is played by an ensemble, typically of a lead singer or instrumentalist, a rhythm section (bass, drums and some combination of piano, electric organ and electric guitar) and a group consisting of voices, wind instruments, guitar or organ.

Rap/Hip Hop Music Artist

Eminem

The most controversial rappers to ever grace the genre. Using his biting wit and incredible skills to vent on everything from his unhappy childhood, to his bad relationship with his mom, his contempt for the mainstream media, his success became the biggest crossover success. The controversy over his lyrics was the best publicity any musician could afford, and being the first 'white' rapper to make a significant impact ever on Hip Hop may have given him a platform not afforded t
o equally talented African-American rappers.
